Re: IT'S CANCELLED
Fri, July 22, 2005 - 3:31 AMNOTICE:
It is with heavy hearts that we must announce that the first annual
Camp Betty Campout has been postponed until Summer 2006.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our artists, friends and fans.
We look forward to telling you all about Camp Betty Campout 2006 in the near future.
—Jennefer White, Festival Producer
I live in Laytonville and work all the shows at the Black Oak Ranch, and was looking forward to this show and very sorry to hear that it was cancelled due to only 200 advance tickets sold. Is everybody saving their money to see Ani Difranco at Earthdance? Why weren't more people buying tickets to the show, was it the cost, the lineup, a lack of promotion? This venue hosts the Women's Herbal Symposium with way over 200 people, and Earthdance which sold out at 9000 last year, so it's not that people are unfamiliar with the venue... An inconvenience to the artists, friends, and fans, a financial and cultural loss to our community. This venue is only permitted for three large events per year and we just used one up! -

Re: IT'S CANCELLED
Tue, July 26, 2005 - 9:24 AMpromotion in a timely fashion was the main reason for lack of advance sales in my opinion.
flyers got back from the printer just 3 weeks before the scheduled festival date.
